I mentioned last week that Amazon was running a deal on the Netgear Orbi mesh WiFi system, and I finally got a chance to install it. I currently run the generic Comcast/Cisco WiFi cable modem with a WiFi extender, upstairs. A mesh system eliminates all of the problems with the router/extender combo, including not having to manually switch networks and not losing bandwidth on the extender (a WiFi extender is about half the bandwidth of the parent network). With a mesh system, the WiFi is seamless all over the house. And it's fast.
When asked if the 401(k) made him wealthy, he pauses: “Not as wealthy as the Johnsons who live in Boston,” he says, in a reference to the family behind Fidelity Investments, the largest plan administrator.
Again, you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.
The New York Times penned a (exhaustingly) long piece on Wednesday that was part anti-Facebook, part anti-Trump, and 100-percent hyperbole.
Mr. Trump’s call to arms — widely condemned by Democrats and some prominent Republicans — was shared more than 15,000 times on Facebook, an illustration of the site’s power to spread racist sentiment.
Only Dr. Evil would claim 15,000 shares on Facebook a really big deal.
I just picked-up this system, so watch for a review in the near future. This dual-satellite mesh WiFi system from Netgear is a pretty good deal, at $246 after the $40 coupon (applied on checkout). Now if they would just do a coupon on the Nintendo Switch....
Difficult to see how the two year-old residual value of these cars is going to support this program, but it sure looks like a good deal for the consumer.

Like 40 million other players around the world, my 14-year old and his “crew” are into Fortnite. As soon as they get home from school or a sporting event, they’re all online battling other teams or each other, in digital make-believe. I’d like to say that I don’t understand it, but that would be a lie. In my day it was the id Software games; Doom and Castle Wolfenstein. But in my day our characters didn’t dance.
Bad beer wars...
The case has high stakes for Pabst, whose lawyers argue that the company's very existence relies on the partnership with Chicago-based MillerCoors, which produces, packages and ships nearly all its products, which include Pabst Blue Ribbon, Old Milwaukee, Natty Boh and Lone Star. MillerCoors, meanwhile, says it's not obligated to continue brewing for Pabst and that Pabst doesn't want to pay enough to justify doing so.
I just got home from having lunch with a brother of mine that I haven’t seen in twenty six years. I got out of the Army in 1992 and he stayed in, retiring just last year. Of course he’s not my brother by blood, but he’s no less a brother than if indeed I had one.
