Seattle bankruptcy disrupting Portland restaurant scene

Restaurants Unlimited, a longtime Seattle-based company with 35 upscale eateries including well-known names like Palomino, Cutters Crabhouse and Horatio’s, sought Chapter 11 protection Sunday and said minimum wage hikes were partly to blame.

Unfortunately the damage is not limited to Seattle. Restaurants Unlimited owns a number of regular southeast Portland haunts. Henry's Tavern was shuttered last week, and this week Stanford's closed two of its locations. On death-watch is the Portland Seafood Company.
