CNN out with this eye-raising headline that Walmart is investing $1.2b into its China operations:
The US retail giant plans to invest around 8 billion yuan ($1.2 billion) in distribution centers in China over the next two decades, it said in a statement sent to CNN Business.
Two decades? A lot can change in twenty years. In 1999 freshman quarterback Michael Vick steered Virginia Tech to second-place in college football. Britney Spears was topping the pop charts with Baby One More Time, and over in Europe a new currency was introduced, creatively named the "Euro". Good luck to Walmart in China.
